1. Kite Point, Malpeque – Best Overall Spot for Learning & Progression
Kite Point in Malpeque is widely considered one of the premier kiteboarding locations in Prince Edward Island – especially for learning, progression, and foil riding. Located along PEI’s north shore, the area is known for its shallow sandbars, steady coastal wind, and wide-open riding space. At lower and mid tides, large shallow-water zones form across the bay, creating ideal conditions for beginners learning kite control, body dragging, and water starts.

For riders looking for flatter water, cruising, or foil sessions, the south shore can deliver some excellent days on the water.
